About purifierplan.com
purifierplan.com is an independent planning tool. It estimates how much clean air each room gets from different air purifiers and suggests models that fit. We don't make or sell purifiers or masks. When you buy, you buy from the retailer, on the retailer's terms.
We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Housing & Development Board (HDB), SP Group, or any brand or retailer named on this site. Brand and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products.
Affiliate links
Some links to Shopee, Lazada and Amazon are affiliate links. A "Find on Shopee" button is a plain search and earns us nothing. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission. It doesn't change the price you pay. We rank products using the numbers shown on the site and the choices you make. Commission plays no part in the ranking, and no brand pays for placement.
Estimates, not advice
- Everything on this site is an estimate to help you plan. Coverage maps, air changes, indoor PM2.5, noise, power use and costs come from simplified models and published figures. They are not measurements of your home or space.
- Real results depend on things we can't see: the actual layout and airtightness of your rooms, how doors and windows are used, where and how the purifier runs, the state of its filter, and indoor sources such as cooking and incense.
- This site is not medical, engineering, building or legal advice. It doesn't check whether a space meets any licensing, building or workplace requirement, including those for childcare centres, schools and offices.
- Room sizes from templates are typical, not your exact plan. The automatic floor-plan reader can make mistakes. Check every room before relying on the results.
Health information
Health advice shown on this site comes from NEA and MOH (as published on HealthHub) and the World Health Organization, for general information. Always follow the latest official advisories at haze.gov.sg and healthhub.sg.
Air purifiers reliably lower fine particles indoors. There isn't yet direct evidence that they prevent illness or doctor visits during haze. A purifier is not a medical treatment. If you or someone you care for feels unwell, seek medical attention promptly.
Indoor PM2.5 is estimated with a standard indoor-air model, calibrated to measurements made in Singapore homes during past haze episodes. The WHO 24-hour guideline level of 15 µg/m³ is set for outdoor air; we use it only as a reference point.
Product information and prices
- Specifications come from manufacturers, independent testing directories and retailer listings. Prices and filter costs were checked on and change often. Always check the listing before you buy.
- “Tested” means the purifier's smoke CADR was verified under the AHAM standard. Other output figures are the brand's own and may not be directly comparable.
- Some models are shown for comparison but not recommended until their specifications have been checked. A model is not ranked if its brand doesn't publish a comparable CADR figure.
- Warranty and after-sales service are provided by the brand or retailer. Parallel imports may not carry a local warranty or Singapore safety marking.
Your privacy
- You don't need an account. Your rooms, settings and choices are saved only in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- The “Who lives here” options stay on your device and are used only to adjust the plan.
- Floor plans and 3D scans are processed in your browser and aren't uploaded, unless you choose automatic plan reading. Then the image is sent to our server and to Anthropic, which provides the AI model that reads it. We keep only the list of rooms it finds, for up to 30 days, so the same plan isn't processed twice. We don't keep the image.
- Air quality readings come from data.gov.sg. Your browser also loads fonts and code libraries from Google Fonts and jsDelivr.
- When you follow a Shopee, Lazada or Amazon link, that site's own privacy policy applies, including how it records affiliate referrals.
Data sources
- Contains information from the Pollutant Standards Index and PM2.5 datasets accessed from data.gov.sg, which is made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0.
- PSI bands and the PSI-to-PM2.5 conversion follow NEA's “Computation of the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI)”, last updated March 2014. PSI is the highest of six pollutant sub-indices, so PM2.5 worked out from a PSI reading is an upper bound.
- Electricity cost uses SP Group's regulated household tariff for the current quarter. Your retailer's rate may differ.
Terms of use
- This site is provided as-is, for general information. We work to keep it accurate but don't guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors.
- To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site, including purchase decisions.
- Only upload floor plans or scans that you have the right to use.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version.
